Manage, Control and Develop

 

Develop existing Hire business within TG Lynes

  • Ensure well-trained and motivated staff

  • Maximise turnover and profitability within existing customer portfolio

  • Seek out and then capitalise on new sales prospects – work alongside and coordinate with TG Lynes Account Managers, maximising Hire opportunities

  • Understand utilisation efficiency of current hire fleet and recommend investment and disposal as appropriate

  • Develop and encourage strong customer service ethic

  • Ensure technical expertise is of an excellent standard

  • Recommend and then work to challenging Budget targets

  • Continued membership of HAE, with a view to maintaining high standards Hire Safe Certification – promoting safety generally within the warehouse environment

  • Develop pricing models to maximise profitability

  • Monitor Plant equipment testing and general maintenance control in the department

  • Quote, QFU, Project Log and pipelines measure, monitor and report.

  • Control cross hire, calibration and repairs to machines.

  • Logging Customer Service Issues (CSI) and KPI’s

  • Process customer orders and enquiries received via telephone, email etc

  • Serve customers face-to-face on the trade counter/ Visits

  • Assemble customer orders and other warehouse duties when required.

  • Any other reasonable duties.

  • Work flexibly with the branch covering holidays when required alongside Team / JK

General

  • Communication - Liaise with relevant departments, issues of stock, technical queries, customer account detail, service, complaints and IT.
  • Service excellence - Maintain and develop customer service and company culture in line with core company objectives.
  • Work with efficiency, accuracy, and discipline with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Attend regular departmental meetings, and any ad hoc meetings as required.
  • To meet and exceed sales, gross profit and margin targets.

Knowledge, Expertise and Qualifications

 

Essential 

  • Experience of Mechanical and Building Services Industry
  • Minimum 2yrs experience in Plant Hire
  • Hands on experience of materials and Plant Hire for mechanical services, plumbing, heating and air movement.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word etc), IT literate
  • CRM familiarity.
  • Current Clean Driving licence
