Role Purpose
The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support to managers and colleagues across the business. Acting as a key point of contact for HR queries, this role will be responsible for delivering a broad range of HR services, including employee relations, policy implementation, and supporting business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist or Junior HRBP to take the next step in their career.
Roles & Responsibilities
Advise and support managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Support with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
Coordinate and support the end-to-end recruitment process, including interviewing and onboarding new hires.
Maintain and update HR systems and employee records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. * Generate, analyse, and present regular HR reports and dashboards (e.g., headcount, turnover, absence, diversity, training compliance) to support business decisions.
Support learning and development activities.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Prepare HR documentation, such as contracts, letters, and reports.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies at all times.
Essential Skills and Behaviours
Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
12 months experience working in an operational HR environment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Strong analytical skills, with experience using HR systems and tools to generate, interpret, and present data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas) and experience with HRIS/reporting platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong IT skills, including HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Previous experience in a retail or fast-paced environment is desirable
