Baumit Technical Sales Representative - South West

As Baumit Technical Sales Representative, you are responsible for generating building material sales, managing customer relationships and construction related activity with key customers within a geographical area to achieve company objectives as directed by the Manager.

Knowledge & Experience 

  • At least two years’ proven building materials sales experience within the construction industry i.e. similar role in a builder’s merchants or construction related company and or B to B selling in the construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of all building material products, existing and upcoming products
  • Proven experience of dealing with building contractors, specifiers and architects.
  • Third level qualification in construction or business-related discipline is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of rendering, plastering and insulation products is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and contractors in line with CRM and company guidelines.
  • Promote the Baumit product range through regular client visits and communications.
  • Conduct technical sales presentations, including CPD training for architects and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver product training and support to ensure customer understanding of benefits and technical advantages.
  • Prepare customer quotations and account plans to meet sales targets and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee project-related commercial activities to maximize technical and commercial outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to payment terms, debt management, and resolution of product/service claims.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, visit reports, and customer data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support company goals and ensure effective cross-functional coordination.
  • Promote and upsell additional Chadwicks Group brands where relevant.
  • Comply with company procedures, safety standards, and reporting systems.

Contract Type

  • Permanent full time
  • Full time 39-hour contract
  • Working week Monday to Friday
  • Location: The Baumit Department is headquartered at Robinhood Road, Dublin 22. This is a field-based role covering the South West region of Ireland.
