Administration Assistant - Steel Division

Principle Objective

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing the inbound administration of all steel shipments from suppliers and ports, as well as providing support with credit control tasks as needed.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 3 years' experience in a fast paced, high volume administration role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel proficiency, with the ability to manipulate data and reports.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential for this role.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the receipt and processing of materials from suppliers and ports, specifically for the goods inwards for Steel and Cut & Bend departments.
  • Responsible for managing purchase orders for goods arriving from ports, ensuring accurate processing and timely coordination of shipments.
  • Oversee and coordinate the transfer of stock between company locations.
  • Liase with Suppliers for test certs & invoices
  • Complete new stock creation forms for the pricing catalogue.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to source non-stock items and ensure timely receipt of goods.

Credit Control Activities:

  • Debtor lodgments, prepared, recorded and lodged
  • Increasing credit limits and removing holds from accounts
  • Maintaining and recording of Petty Cash
  • Processing of preauthorised Credit Notes

Contract Type
