Retail Project Manager
Part of Grafton Group Plc, Chadwicks Group is the market leader in the builder’s merchanting industry in the Republic of Ireland. Main brands include Chadwicks, Heiton Buckley, Cork Builders Providers, Panelling Centre, Davies & Telfords.
Principle Objective
Reporting to the Head of Group Building Services, the Retail Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the business by providing in-house professional including project management, branch development, business implants and repair and maintenance services.
Knowledge & Experience
- Membership of the SCSI, RICS, CIOB or equivalent is desirable
- Strong Microsoft office skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD essential
- Strong Organisational and administrative skills are essential
- Good knowledge and experience of the construction process including Contract Administration
- Ability to design, plan, manage and monitor works on a number of projects from inception through to completion
- Knowledge and experience in Property related Sustainability initiatives is desirable
- Ability to work on own initiative
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Operations team to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
- Prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets
- Prepare detailed specifications, drawings and Tender enquiry documents
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
- Coordination and supervision of Main Contractors, sub-contractors and external consultants where appropriate
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Ensure compliance with current Building Control and Health and Safety regulations
