Key Accountabilities

  • Proactive management and responding to alerts from the monitoring platforms on the Grafton Group central services including the Office 365 Tenancy, on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Working in the Service Delivery function, providing Tier 3 & 4 support to Grafton Group and subsidiary companies.
  • Manage and support the delivery of Infrastructure projects as required.
  • Design and implement both new technologies and upgrades or enhancements to existing services.
  • Regular system administration tasks, including user and security administration, housekeeping, software upgrades, patching, and cyclical health and status checks.
  • Maintaining and documenting the configuration of the shared Microsoft core services, ensuring that all diagrams and inventory documentation is kept up to date, and standard processes for areas such as user management, group policy settings, and other such standards are recorded.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Microsoft technology, including Azure, Office 365, Exchange Online, and Windows Server and security.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Windows Server, VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Active Directory and DNS.
  • Exchange Online.
  • PowerShell and scripting in Microsoft environments.
  • Management of Office 365 tenancy.
  • Implementation and management of workloads within Azure.
  • Network and server management and monitoring tools.
  • Veeam backup and replication technology.
  • Dell servers and Dell storage.
  • Documentation skills using Visio, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint as appropriate.
  • ITIL Foundation qualification or the ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of ITIL disciplines is preferred.
