PART QUALIFIED/ NEWLY QUALIFIED FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Principle Objective

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role is ideal for a part qualified or newly qualified Financial Accountant looking to make their first move into industry. The role will suit an ambitious driven individual looking to develop and progress their career while obtaining wide ranging experience across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

*           Support the Senior Financial Accountant and wider Finance team with the month end process including preparation of Management Accounts and auxiliary Group reports

*           Assist with the analysis of monthly P&L activity and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

*           Management of fixed asset register and compliance with Group Capex procedures

*           Assist with internal and external audit engagements and the statutory accounts preparation

*           Assist with completion of annual tax packs

*           Carry out daily and weekly sales reporting and commentary

*           Assist with the preparation of the annual budget

*           Assist with the filing of VAT, RCT returns and wider Revenue reporting

*           Support with hire accounts/reporting

*           Assist with completing intercompany month end procedures

*           Participate in various process improvements initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as defined by the business

 

Essential

*           Part qualified or newly qualified ACA (Chartered), ACCA or CIMA qualified.

*           Experience working within a team

*           Highly proficient Microsoft office user, including advanced excel skills (pivots/vlookups)

*           Solid understanding of accounting software principles (knowledge of Sun Financials an advantage)

*           Ability to deal with key stakeholders at all levels of the business

*           Ability to work independently to tight deadlines

*           Excellent prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
