The Job

  • Reviewing portfolio of accounts to monitor and chase overdue debt
  • Collection of debts via telephone or written correspondence.
  • Allocation of cash to ensure that sales ledger reflects payments received
  • Liaising with branches and customers to resolve disputes which are holding up payments
  • Escalate debt when appropriate and deal with Collection Agencies and Solicitors
  • Review and obtain credit limits for the opening of successful credit accounts
  • Proactively deal with requests from stores and customers to increase credit limits.
  • Great customer support in dealing with customer account queries or changes to account details
  • Support change and improvements in procedures

You

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller in a busy, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with particular focus on telephone manner
  • Confident in dealing with customers and internal departments, providing great customer service
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to resolve issues 
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a team to achieve department goals
  • Proficient Excel skills
