The Job
- Reviewing portfolio of accounts to monitor and chase overdue debt
- Collection of debts via telephone or written correspondence.
- Allocation of cash to ensure that sales ledger reflects payments received
- Liaising with branches and customers to resolve disputes which are holding up payments
- Escalate debt when appropriate and deal with Collection Agencies and Solicitors
- Review and obtain credit limits for the opening of successful credit accounts
- Proactively deal with requests from stores and customers to increase credit limits.
- Great customer support in dealing with customer account queries or changes to account details
- Support change and improvements in procedures
You
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller in a busy, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication skills, with particular focus on telephone manner
- Confident in dealing with customers and internal departments, providing great customer service
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to resolve issues
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to work in a team to achieve department goals
- Proficient Excel skills
