Principle Objective

The role is to assist the Head of Risk, Compliance & Internal Audit with compliance based tasks & projects within our businesses and to carry out desktop audit functions.  The individual will work alongside the existing Chadwicks Group Internal Audit Team and will report directly to the Head of Risk, Compliance & Internal Audit.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Have a good understanding of the Building Materials business and the existing processes and controls within our business.
  • Have a high level of computer literacy and the ability to handle analytical data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for Data Protection tasks including recording of Data Breaches, processing Data Subject Access Requests, issuing and approving third party Data Protection & Information Security related assessments. 
  • Carrying out the annual reviews for Business Continuity Plans & PCI Compliance.
  • Maintaining and submitting the Chadwicks Group Risk Register to Grafton Group
  • Assisting with achieving target levels for mandatory e-learning courses.
  • Desktop Auditing/Data Analysis – monitoring systems to ensure Branches are adhering to Policies and Procedures. 
  • Dealing with Compliance, Risk and Audit queries from the Chadwicks Group businesses.
  • Ensure that Compliance, Risk and Audit provides an “added value” to our businesses.
  • Identifying risks in existing systems / procedures, notifying Management of those risks and assisting in improving systems / procedures.
  • Assisting with producing / revising new and existing policy and procedures documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with Accounting Policies, Corporate Governance and legislation.
  • Liaising with Internal Control Functions of other Companies within Grafton Group.
  • Assisting with adhoc investigations, projects, reporting and presentations.
